Purple Easter Blessings

Here’s my take on the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge for today. I also used the sketch from Case This Sketch (CTS315).

I used two retired SU Sets. I have quite a few Easter sets from SU & others that I still love & so opted not to purchase a new one this year. I just love these colors! So Spring!
The Crosses of Hope had never seen ink so this qualifies for Splitcoaststampers UseIt2019 challenge to use craft supplies that have been neglected or not used at all. . It’s a very simple card & will go to my sister. On my side of the family, Easter was a religious holy day; we got a few treats but mostly it was about church. On my DH’s side of the family, it is more about a spring holiday with baskets with candy & new outdoor toys. So I’ll use those cute little bunnies, chicks and lambs stamps for cards for that side of the family. :) Thanks for looking!
Supplies:
Stamps: Crosses of Hope, Abundant Hope- sentiment; both retired SU
Paper: Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Pear Pizzazz, Gingham Gala
Ink: Gorgeous Grape
Accessories: Subtle EF

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! And Happy Passover! I hope each of you has a wonderful day with your families and friends. My card today is for two challenges. The Colour Q challenge 131 to use Blushing Bride, Peach Parfait, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz and white. Perfect for an Easter card.
The other challenge is for the Deconstructed Sketch.
My stamp is from Gina K & the artist Rupa Shevde called Spring has Sprung. It isn't a new release but I only got to play with a few images last year so it is still new to me. My papers are SU! designer from the in color selection except the So Saffron which is from the retired Walk in a Park.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I hope you enjoy your day!
I made this card for the SCS color and sketch challenge a few weeks ago. Specifically CC318 and SC328, but I never got it uploaded. I may not post much for a while as we are putting in new hardwood floors in the upstairs of the house. We moved all the furniture except the beds to the main level. This includes a complete dismantle of the studio. I kept a few things handy so I don't go into compete card making withdraws. :)
Supplies:
Stamps: Because I Care, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, White, DP-retired SU from Simply Scrapin Kit
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Pear Pizzazz, touch of Rose Red added with watercolor pen
Accessories: Cuttlebug folder, circle punches, twine.
Happy Easter! Hugs,

Marilyn

Hi Chickie!

Hello friends! I took some time today to make a few cards. I have been working on reorganizing, cataloging and consolidating my stamp collection. I've taken the plunge to take all of my wood mounted stamps off the wood. It is taking me quite some time but the downsizing & organizing will be good. I am also putting aside stamp sets that I don't think I'll use again for sale later. I really admire those who have clean out each season...I just can't seem to part with so many of my stamps, but the longer this process of downsizing continues the more likely I'll say 'goodbye' to many more sets.  I have a deadline as we are having hardwood floors put in the upstairs rooms including the studio, so that is what has been keeping me away from daily card making and more frequent posting.

This card was a fun one...made in honor of Irene, the Featured Stamper over on Splitcoaststampers. I cased this card of hers. I hope she likes it! I started with a base of white Neenah paper & topped it with three panels of Basic Grey's Offbeat paper mounted on SU! retired YoYo Yellow {I think this is the first time I've used that since it retired!} The bottom nestability is Label 10 in SU! Baja Breeze. The next layer was made using the retired SU Paisley background stamp in YoYo Yellow and then cut with a Scalloped Oval Nestability. The image is one from the Michaels $1 spot. I colored this cute Chickie with SU! markers & sponged the edges with Baja Breeze.

Have a great week,
Marilyn

Chocolate Easter Bunny

Our Easter card for dear daughters (dd) who are away at college. {I made two identical cards- one for each daughter.} Brian and I also prepared Easter basket contents and boxed with Easter grass & shipped to 'the girls'. Adult children Easter baskets are fun to prepare; we always include a little candy, some fun things and a few useful items that are usually needed or an extravagance on a college student's budget. This year with the card was a real Dove Milk chocolate bunny, Starburst jelly beans, a miniature egg carton filled with little bubble gum eggs, a wind up toy (you're never too old for fun), dental white strips, a jeweled bracelet and a package of mechanical pencils.

The card was cased from Kay- aka Speedy Stamper. Kay did a fancy fold; I cut my top layer and 'overhung' my bunny panel. Other than that it is nearly identical. I just love this stamp from SU!

Supplies:
Stamps: Chocolate Bunny, Teeny Tiny Wishes (SU!)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, White, DSP- retired Berry Bliss (SU!)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU!)
Accessories: Felt flower (Fancy Pants), small oval punch (SU!), edge punch (MS), corner punch (SU!)

Easter Daffodils

Daffodils are blooming in St. Louis~ and they are gorgeous! So today for the Inspirational Challenge (IC225), I chose the Wild Ginger from Thymes as it reminded me of the colors of daffodils. Earlier this week, I received my Stampin' Up order with this new Abundant Hope stamp set and the designer paper called Shades of Spring. I colored with SU! markers. I would have liked to have used my copics but since I am still learning, I opted for the sure thing as I needed to get cards done for relatives. I purchased the new clear mount stamps & I really like them.

Have a great Sunday! Marilyn

Supplies: All SU!
Stamps: Abundant Hope, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Black; Markers- So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Summer Sun, Old Olive, More Mustard
Paper: Certainly Celery (textured & cardstock), So Saffron, White, DSP- Shades of Spring
Ribbon: Apricot Appeal
(which looks like So Saffron at least to me)

Bunny Love

I love the weekends...well, who doesn't right? Seriously, I do relish the weekends as I have not had much time in the evenings after work to stamp or create. I often stay up late on Friday nights & this card was another late night Friday creation. I used some of my remaining Cutie Pie DSP which retired from SU! several years ago. The stamp is a new one in a set from Close to My Heart called Bunny Love. I used the sketch from the SCS challenge this week. (SC270).

Stamps: Bunny Love (CTMH)
Paper: Certainly Celery, So Saffron, White, DSP-Cutie Pie Retired (SU)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento), Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Rose Red (SU!)
Accessories: Blender Pen, Certainly Celery brads, So Saffron brads, 1/4 circle punch (used to make ticket corners) (all SU!)
