Triangled Thanks

Happy Fabulous Friday!
As promised, here I am again on Friday...Check here every Tuesday and Friday for a new post. Occasionally I will throw in an extra post, but for sure, I'm here every Tuesday and Friday.

Triangles and geometric shapes are all the rage in paper crafting, DIY and decorating. I just had to jump on this fun bandwagon. The sketch design is all mine & I’m unabashedly proud of it as I usually do sketch challenges or fall back to the same few sketch designs. I hope you like it too!

Fun Fold with In Colors

Happy Thursday, Friends!
I always post on Tuesdays & Fridays, but I wanted to add an additional post today to share this fun fold that I created for The Paper Players Challenge.

Can’t  see the fun fold? That’s because it’s disguised. The base of Cinnamon Cider is scored at 2” & 4 1/4”. At the 2” score it is folded back toward the 4 1/4 fold. Before glueing down the fold, I added a piece of Bumblebee DSP. Then I added four strips of 3/4” In Color DSP; two to the front on the fold-over piece & two to the right side of the inside of the card. (See the picture below.)

For a quick & easy way to do the ribbon, I use a stapler & then use scotch tape to adhere to the back of my sentiment. I’m sure you could use any adhesive, but I use tape to cover the sharp points of the staple. Washi tape would work great too.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for Fabulous Friday.
Thanks for looking!
Supplies: All SU
Paper: Cinnamon Cider, Whisper White, In Color DSP
Stamps: Silhouette Scenes
Ink: Cinnamon Cider
Accessories: Layering Ovals, Cinnamon Cider ribbon, In Color dots (with the enamel top removed so it’s just a dot).

Forever Greenery

Hi friends! As promised, here is a card I made using the same sketch as the one I used on Tuesday. It’s my “go to” sketch. I’d love to hear or see your “go to” sketch! For me, it’s helpful to have a few sketches “up my sleeve” when I’ve either lost my mojo or I need to mass produce cards.

Are you as crazy about this Forever Greenery DSP as I am? But then again I’m a paper lover. The beautiful reversible ribbon is a carry-over from last year’s catalog & I’m so happy to see it again. The colors, Pretty Peacock & Old Olive match the paper exactly. No picture could do this ribbon justice- it’s really stunning.

Thanks for stopping by. And for my US friends, Have a great 4th of July weekend!

Supplies: All SU
Card stock: Old Olive, Pretty Peacock, Whisper White
DSP: Forever Greenery
Stamps: Peaceful Moments
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Accessories: Greenery EF, Tasteful Labels dies, Reversible ribbon.

Masculine Card- CTS#378

This card was made last week but I haven’t had a chance to share it yet. I think the card fits perfectly for the CASE this Sketch challenge #378 even though I made it before seeing the sketch.  It was my original- weird, huh?!

Another masculine card similar to Tuesday’s card as I used the Tasteful Touches bundle & the same colors. I appreciate that you stopped here to take a look.

Tremendous Tuesday- Masculine Card

Hello Friends! Here’s my card for Tremendous Tuesdays here on PaperDreams.

This card uses a sketch that I’ve been using for years- it’s my “go to” sketch.

One third in one paper, two thirds in another paper. A strip between the two to “hide” the connection & and an element. The strip in between could be narrow or wide paper; it could be ribbon or twine; or even an embossed or die cut strip. The element could be an image or a sentiment.

I hope you like it! Come back on Friday for another card using this sketch.

Supplies: All SU
Card-stock; Thick Very Vanilla, Early Espresso.
DSP:  Cinnamon Cider In-Color, In Good Taste
Stamps: Tasteful Touches
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories: Tasteful Labels dies, In Good Taste elements

In Color Thanks

Hi friends! Thanks for jumping over to visit my blog and card today.
I’m sharing a creation I made for the Freshly Made Sketch for the week;
FMS441.
To make the circle, I pieced together new in-color DSP strips & cut using a circle die. I pieced together another set of strips & pieced two of the halves together in opposing directions on a layer of white card stock. The Cinnamon Cider card stock was embossed with the new Tasteful Textures embossing folder.
I just love this sketch, don’t you? Substitute the circle with a different object & you’ve got an entirely different look. Take a peek at the gallery for the FMS & you’ll see a wide variety of cards.
Thanks again for looking!
All SU Supplies:
Card stock: Bumblebee, Just Jade, Cinnamon Cider
DSP:  In Color
Stamps: Well Said
Accessories: Layering Circles dies, Classic Label punch; Tasteful Textiles EF, In Color Enamel Dots.

Birds and Branches Fun Fold

Hi friends!
I created this card as a Make 'n Take for the 2020 VIP Conference At The Gathering Place with my friends Sally and Kim. It's a z-fold card.

I used the Bird and Branches bundle in the new 2020-2021 annual Stampin' UP catalog. If you haven't check it out, be sure to have a look on page 120 for the stamp set and page 174 for the dies. The bird dies have such detail, & I love the leaf circle die, but my favorite is the edge die. It makes a real statement & matches the circle and branched leaves.
So many fun new things in this catalog! What's your favorite new thing?
Supplies:
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Regular Whisper White, Just Jade, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, Sahara Sand, So Saffron
DSP: Forever Greenery
Stamps: None
Dies: Birds and More
Accessories: Wink of Stella

Baby Girl Welcome

Hello Friends-
Last night I created this card for several challenges & for a card swap.
Challenges:
FabFri187- sketch

CAS581 from Splitcoaststampers (SCS)- Use the same color in shades. I chose shades of purple with a little bit of pink. Colors include Elegant Eggplant, Blackberry Bliss, BB DSP & Purple Posy Vellum DSP.

USEIT2020 from SCS- use your stash or retired stuff. I used retired card stock- Elegant Eggplant for the base & although not old, the DSP papers- Lily Impressions & So Very Vellum are now retired as these were Sale-a-bration papers. I have two packs of each so I’m happy to use all these items on a card swap; making 16- 12 for the swap & a few extra for my stash.

Here’s a detailed shot.

To keep the coloring from getting too dark when using a dark color like Blackberry Bliss, I touch my blender pen to the brush side of the marker & scribble off some of the color & add more color if needed.  If coloring a Large area, I use the lid of my SU ink pad.

Have a great day! TFL!!

Gleaming Blueberry Christmas

Hi friends! Today I played along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge #408 (FMS408). These sketches are always fun, fabulous & versatile. I always enjoy looking at all the creations to see the artistic interpretations.
I’m in love with this new suite from the SU! Holiday catalog , Christmas Gleaming. I’ve made several card designs using the gorgeous, matching DSP, so today I decided to branch out. The Blueberry Bushel foil sheet from the Noble Peacock foil pack is layered on top of apiece of Whisper White cardstock that was embossed with the Subtle embossing folder. It’s really hard to see the beauty of this foil sheet so below are a couple of close ups.

Retired DSP in Lovely Lipstick & Blueberry Bushel were punched with larger gleaming ornaments punch. The sentiment was stamped in Lovely Lipstick on Whisper White. Lastly, Blueberry Bushel 1/8” grosgrain ribbon was used to hang the ornaments.
I hope my take inspires you to try the sketch challenge.
