Gleaming Blueberry Christmas

Hi friends! Today I played along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge #408 (FMS408). These sketches are always fun, fabulous & versatile. I always enjoy looking at all the creations to see the artistic interpretations.
I’m in love with this new suite from the SU! Holiday catalog , Christmas Gleaming. I’ve made several card designs using the gorgeous, matching DSP, so today I decided to branch out. The Blueberry Bushel foil sheet from the Noble Peacock foil pack is layered on top of apiece of Whisper White cardstock that was embossed with the Subtle embossing folder. It’s really hard to see the beauty of this foil sheet so below are a couple of close ups.

Retired DSP in Lovely Lipstick & Blueberry Bushel were punched with larger gleaming ornaments punch. The sentiment was stamped in Lovely Lipstick on Whisper White. Lastly, Blueberry Bushel 1/8” grosgrain ribbon was used to hang the ornaments.
I hope my take inspires you to try the sketch challenge.

Heather Butterflies

This card was made for Splitcoaststamper's Virtual Stamp night, the "I" challenge, to make a Thank You card ala Elvis "Thank You, Thank You Very Much". I also used Julee Tillman's July Sketch 519.
The DSP I used was free from the Sale-a-bration SU! Catalog...gorgeous paper with colors on one side & black and white on the other which makes a perfect pairing. I'm so glad I have a few packs of this paper! I love letting the DSP do the work for the card... makes a pretty card even when you only add a sentiment. I hope you have a great week!
Stamps: Butterfly Gala
Paper: Black, White, Highland Heather, Purple Posy, DSP- Botantical Butterfly
Ink: Black Tuxedo- Momento
Accessories: Butterfly Duet punch

Purple Easter Blessings

Here’s my take on the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge for today. I also used the sketch from Case This Sketch (CTS315).

I used two retired SU Sets. I have quite a few Easter sets from SU & others that I still love & so opted not to purchase a new one this year. I just love these colors! So Spring!
The Crosses of Hope had never seen ink so this qualifies for Splitcoaststampers UseIt2019 challenge to use craft supplies that have been neglected or not used at all. . It’s a very simple card & will go to my sister. On my side of the family, Easter was a religious holy day; we got a few treats but mostly it was about church. On my DH’s side of the family, it is more about a spring holiday with baskets with candy & new outdoor toys. So I’ll use those cute little bunnies, chicks and lambs stamps for cards for that side of the family. :) Thanks for looking!
Supplies:
Stamps: Crosses of Hope, Abundant Hope- sentiment; both retired SU
Paper: Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Pear Pizzazz, Gingham Gala
Ink: Gorgeous Grape
Accessories: Subtle EF

Botanical Butterfly Thanks

Here’s my take on yesterday’s Splitcoaststampers Inspirational Challenge (IC694). I chose the Myrial Butterfly pillow from the Country Door on-line store.
I also chose the Freshly Made Sketch challenge for the week (FMS380)
I used the SU Sale-a-bration DSP called Botanical Butterfly against black cardstock on a Daffodil Delight card base. A single die cut black butterfly & black sentiment finishes it off.
I hope you like it!

Figgy Floral CAS

A quick and simple card using retired SU DSP called Fresh Florals
in Fresh Fig which is a color to retire later this year. I used the sketch from This week’s Case This Sketch #311.

I’m always in love with this challenge! There’s so much room for interpretation which makes it fun to look at all the creations. Plus it’s adaptable to what I’m planning- a birthday cards, a masculine card, particular colors or as in this creation to use my stash.
I hope you like it!
Have a great day! Marilyn

Fisherman’s Delight

Today’s card was made for the Splitcoaststampers “Mixability” challenge (MIX316). The challenge is to use the colors of the sky & mixed media, of course, to create a card. I chose to make the sky & water using distress & distress oxide ink to create the background and a little bit of pink gelato on the fish. Definetly outside my comfort zone but I had fun trying something new. I used the “Best Catch” stamp & die set in the SU Occasions catalog.

Sweet Baby Girl

Today I played the Ways to Use It Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. (WT727) The challenge was to use a four letter word on your card... not that kind of  four letter word! LOL
My word was “baby”. My baby congratulations cards are in low supply so I thought I’d add to my stash. I just love this retired image from the SU set called “Moon Baby”. I used my aqua painter to color the image. Blushing bride cardstock & retired dsp.

Lucky Elle

Here’s the card I made for my youngest (adult) daughter who loves elephants. I took the opportunity to play last Friday”s  mixed media challenge on Splitcoaststampers (mix312) to use the 2019 color of the year, Living Coral. Two mixed media techniques are required. I used emboss resist with white embossing powder and I broke out the gelatos I purchased several years ago & have never used.
I used retired SU products, Luck Elephant stamp, DSP & ribbon so I entered it on the on-going SCS UseIt2019 to break out neglected supplies.

Forever Love

Here’s my take on the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge for the week (FMS369) and the Splitcoaststampers Ways to Use It (WT723)... I resolve. My resolve is to play more challenges & use my supplies both current, retired & old.
I used to play challenges quite frequently but my work & personal life got too busy to squeeze it in. I still made cards especially duplicates for swaps but often these were copies of others’ work. There’s lots of “sub-goals” under these two resolutions but that story is too much for today & too detailed for a single post. Anyway, I hope you like my card with my new Stampin’Up supplies mostly from the 2019 Occassions catalog.
Have a great day friends!
Supplies- all Stampin Up- Lovely Lipstick cardstock & ink, All my Love DSP, stitched framelits & epoxy hearts.
