Holiday Preview

Hi Friends - Happy Fabulous Friday.
Above is a preview from the Holiday Mini Catalog using the Case this Sketch #382.

Warning: a long post; I,m sorry but I missed Tuesday so I'm making it up to you with two cards. I was ill with something- probably a virus, but not COVID as my antigen test from Sunday came back negative. I thought it was probably a head cold because I did not have a fever or chills, but I had terrible muscle and joint aches along with a runny nose and sore throat which made me wonder if I had a mild case of COVID. So, I thought I should check so I could tell the few people I had been around. Thank goodness! I'm much better-about 90-95% but the aches continue. But I can deal with that!

A close up so you can see the bling and stamped images a little better.

Oh, how I wish I could show you this stamp set but you'll have to wait until the catalog is released to the public on August 4th. Let me just say- it is a set that can be used not only Christmas, but also Halloween and Valentines Day. It coordinates with the new postage stamp punch. When I'm making a large quantity of cards or 3D items like little gifts, I gravitate to my punches because it is faster for me. (I do love my dies thought.). So I was very excited when the new annual catalog had  a new punch & stamp set; Posted for you Bundle.

But I was even more excited when there was a all holiday stamp set that coordinated with this punch. A real win for me! Maybe you too?

Below is another preview from this same stamp set the Holiday Mini Catalog using last week's Case this Sketch #381 from Brian King. It is the card I made to post on Tuesday but did not have the energy to post.

A close up.

In both my cards, I used papers from the holiday mini catalog. The ribbon and bling are from the Annual catalog. If you don't have a catalog or a demonstrator, I'd love to help you with your creative adventure - a one time thing like invitations or holiday gifts or if you are new to paper crafting. I've been told I am patient and kind... it's just paper!
Before I retired, I worked in a high stress, life & death environment, so not much gets to me. I really believe this has to be fun & I strive to make it that way for you!

You can contact me via my Stampin' Up business page (click on image below) or reply to this post & I will answer your request.
Thanks for looking & thanks you your understanding about Tuesday.

CAS Blossoms

Hello Friends! Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday here at Paper Dreams.
Today I have a clean and simple card for you. About a week ago, I watched a video by Mary from Stamp ‘n Lingers on how she made her April card. I used different colors & a different shape. You can see her card & video here: https://stampsnlingers.com/2020/04/12/stampin-up-forever-blossoms-with-video-tutorial-for-the-paper-players/

I’ve not done much blending so I wanted to give it a go. I picked up some cosmetic blending brushes with handles at the bargain store. They really keeps the ink off your fingers & are so easy to control.

I made a mask or template by die cutting an oval onto a panel of thick card stock. Using temporary glue dots, I placed the panel with the oval hole over my card base & the blended So Saffron & Blushing Bride. I hope you like it. Thanks to Mary for sharing her talents!

Thanks for looking!

Triangled Thanks

Happy Fabulous Friday!
As promised, here I am again on Friday...Check here every Tuesday and Friday for a new post. Occasionally I will throw in an extra post, but for sure, I'm here every Tuesday and Friday.

Triangles and geometric shapes are all the rage in paper crafting, DIY and decorating. I just had to jump on this fun bandwagon. The sketch design is all mine & I’m unabashedly proud of it as I usually do sketch challenges or fall back to the same few sketch designs. I hope you like it too!

Fun Fold with In Colors

Happy Thursday, Friends!
I always post on Tuesdays & Fridays, but I wanted to add an additional post today to share this fun fold that I created for The Paper Players Challenge.

Can’t  see the fun fold? That’s because it’s disguised. The base of Cinnamon Cider is scored at 2” & 4 1/4”. At the 2” score it is folded back toward the 4 1/4 fold. Before glueing down the fold, I added a piece of Bumblebee DSP. Then I added four strips of 3/4” In Color DSP; two to the front on the fold-over piece & two to the right side of the inside of the card. (See the picture below.)

For a quick & easy way to do the ribbon, I use a stapler & then use scotch tape to adhere to the back of my sentiment. I’m sure you could use any adhesive, but I use tape to cover the sharp points of the staple. Washi tape would work great too.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for Fabulous Friday.
Thanks for looking!
Supplies: All SU
Paper: Cinnamon Cider, Whisper White, In Color DSP
Stamps: Silhouette Scenes
Ink: Cinnamon Cider
Accessories: Layering Ovals, Cinnamon Cider ribbon, In Color dots (with the enamel top removed so it’s just a dot).

Forever Greenery

Hi friends! As promised, here is a card I made using the same sketch as the one I used on Tuesday. It’s my “go to” sketch. I’d love to hear or see your “go to” sketch! For me, it’s helpful to have a few sketches “up my sleeve” when I’ve either lost my mojo or I need to mass produce cards.

Are you as crazy about this Forever Greenery DSP as I am? But then again I’m a paper lover. The beautiful reversible ribbon is a carry-over from last year’s catalog & I’m so happy to see it again. The colors, Pretty Peacock & Old Olive match the paper exactly. No picture could do this ribbon justice- it’s really stunning.

Thanks for stopping by. And for my US friends, Have a great 4th of July weekend!

Supplies: All SU
Card stock: Old Olive, Pretty Peacock, Whisper White
DSP: Forever Greenery
Stamps: Peaceful Moments
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Accessories: Greenery EF, Tasteful Labels dies, Reversible ribbon.
