Happy Monday! I hope your week has started out as wonderful as ever. My card today was made for the Freshly Made sketch challenge shown below. The papers are from SU! Everyday Enchantment DSP & the main image is a stamp set called Fresh Vintage both from the Sale-a-bration catalog. It was stamped in Poppy Parade on vanilla cardstock. I stamped the image again on another piece of vanilla cardstock and fussy cut three of the flowers & popped them up. The edges of the image and papers are distressed.
Have a great day!! Hugs, MarilynMonday, April 30, 2012

Vintage Rose
Good evening, friends! Tonight I am sharing one of my Mothers' Day cards. The sketch I used is from Jen Del Muro's "Sketch for You to Try" over on I{heart}Sketches.
I used the retired Springtime Vintage DSP from Stampin'Up. The main image was done by fussy cutting the pretty rose from one of the papers. It's popped up on a vanilla Nestabilities' Eyelet Circle which is mounted on a rose red Nestabilities' circle.
Quick post for me tonight! I'll be back tomorrow & I hope you will too.
Hugs, Marilyn

Photo Holder
Hi Friends! Today I want to share with you the swap I made for our April card club. Usually we make cards, but this month I took some creative license and made a photo holder with a photo page. Of course the picture wasn't included...those cuties are my daughters many years ago. The girls were 2 & 4 years old here...a long way from the current 23 & 21, I love this picture- it was taken when we first bought this home & they are under the built in desk in the kitchen. They used to 'hide' in this space & giggle.
Well, anyway, back to this project- the large clothespin/clip is 1 1/4 wide white, wooden that I covered with SU! Everyday Enchantment DSP and Mod Podge. The page is a 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inch piece of Pool Party with a scored strip of Peach Parfait and another piece of Everyday Enchantment DSP. The medallions are two toned cardstock punched with the doily layer punch. The bottom layer is retired Kiwi Kiss (close to Lucky Limeade) with Peach Parfait or Pool Party on top & secured with a brad from the Everyday Enchantment pack.
Have a great weekend!! Hugs, Marilyn

Let's Party
Happy Weekend, blogger friends! Thanks for stopping! Today I have a card to share with you that will be added to the CB42DD (Card Box for two dear daughters). I mentioned on an earlier post that my two daughters, twenty-something girls, asked me to make a box of cards for each of them so that they'd have hand made cards to give away. So today, I made two of this card. So easy to make the 2nd card when the first is designed & the cardstock, ink and stamps are already out. The girls won't mind having identical cards because they have different sets of friends.
I got the idea for the sketch from CAS-ual Friday challenge (CFC49). (see below). When I first saw this sketch challenge I didn't have an idea. So I decided to think about it later & went over to the Play Date Cafe to see their challenge. (PDCC128). (see below) When I saw the saw the fun colors of "flamingo pink, bright orange, & white" I remembered my purchase from last weekend. And the card fell together from there. I love when that happens, don't you?
So anyway...last weekend I picked up a Citrus cardstock matstack from DCWV & these cute little party hats in fun colors and patterns by K & Company at my local craft store with a discount coupon. My intent was to make birthday cards for the CB42DD. Just perfect! My card base & top layer is Neenah Solar White. The hot pink layer is SU! retired Pink Passion, the textured orange from the DCWV matstack. I used SU! Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo ink on the SU! sentiment from the retired Let's Party set. (circa 2003).
Again, thanks for stopping by. I've gotta' run now to a get together with my Crafty girlfriends, but I'll be back late tonight & tomorrow to blog hop & see your fabulous creations. Have a great Saturday!

Spring Blooms
Hey there! I hope you are having a great week! I sure am...I've gotten in the studio two times this work week & it is just Wednesday! My card is for a few challenges. The first challenge is for the Paper Players challenge to create a CAS card that includes water-coloring. I pulled out the retired "On the Grow" set (from last year's Summer Mini Catalog) as it is my favorite set to watercolor.
The second challenge is a sketch challenge from Technostamper; the sketch is shown below.
My card base is Pretty in Pink with Wisteria Wonder accents; the DSP is Berry Blossoms. I water-colored using ink and a blender pen. The decorative label punch was used for the sentiment ends to coordinate with the Wisteria Wonder layer below.
Join in the fun with the Technostamper challenge; it is a blog hop!

CAS Organic
Hi there! My card today is for the Splitcoaststampers CAS challenge. Today was a sketch challenge & I just love this sketch given to us by Mary (Stampercamper). Mary is an awesome stamper/artist; she's a SU demonstrator & strictly creates with only SU products. I often go to her blog and SCS gallery for ideas when I get a new SU stamp set. It has been a very long time since I have played a SCS challenge. I am finding a little more time for this hobby as I am adjusting to my new job (now 4 months).
My card base is Neenah Solar White cardstock (heavy weight). The other papers are SU! Blushing Bride and Old Olive with the Basic Grey DSP from the Offbeat line. (I {heart} 6X6 paper pads). The stamp is an acrylic from Studio g (Hampton Arts). The bling half circle is from Heidi Swapp; I've had it for so long I was afraid that the adhesive wouldn't be any good- but not so, it was perfect.
I picked up this stamp set to make some cards for DD#2 who is seriously involved with an environmental protection action group at her college campus. Both of my daughters asked me to create a boxful of cards for them. So that is one of my projects over the next several months. You'll probably be seeing lots of birthday and thank you cards along with general notecards. That sure made a Mama feel good!
Have a great week, dear friends!

Happy Easter
Happy Easter! And Happy Passover! I hope each of you has a wonderful day with your families and friends. My card today is for two challenges. The Colour Q challenge 131 to use Blushing Bride, Peach Parfait, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz and white. Perfect for an Easter card.
The other challenge is for the Deconstructed Sketch.
My stamp is from Gina K & the artist Rupa Shevde called Spring has Sprung. It isn't a new release but I only got to play with a few images last year so it is still new to me. My papers are SU! designer from the in color selection except the So Saffron which is from the retired Walk in a Park.
Have a great weekend!
